To learn about us, we need to go back in time to the distant year of... 2015. Back then there weren't The Tech Deputies. There was just one Tech Deputy: David Leskin. David was doing tech support for a few small businesses when he got a call from his father. It was a normal conversation that he'd had dozens of times: "I think my internet's broken again. Could you come by and try to get it running again?" This time, however, a lightbulb went off. David's dad needed help with technology. Most people need help with technology as do all the people who've been left behind by the ever more complex world we live in.
Fast-forward ten years and David has been doing various tech work for as many clients as one person can handle. But he is only one man, and to help as many people as possible he would need to expand. And that's where the rest of us come in, deputized to turn that ten-year-old idea into a reality.
We are a group of Friends & Family living all over Northern California who want to share what we know with our communities to make life just a bit easier for everyone. We teach hands-on classes. We fix your tech problems. We do anything and everything we can to make technology more accessible, more approachable, and less of a hassle.
